Mek Yam’s last appointment was with TIME dotcom as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and International Business. Prior to TIME dotcom being listed in 2003, she was the MD of TT dotcom. Her tenure with TIME/TT dotcom spanned over 15 years. She was directly responsible in many job areas including international marketing and sales, regulatory and customer service. She was with TIME at the start of TIME’s operations; when the festoon cable was laid circumventing the Peninsular. She was also responsible to convince the Regulator to award TIME with domestic and international licences. Prior to joining TIME, she was with Telekom Malaysia for 3 years. Before that she was working for Ericsson, the Swedish company for almost 10 years. In total she has approximately 28 years in the telecommunications industry. She has been in a senior management position for 15 years.
Zamri has approximately 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He started his career with Jabatan Telekom Malaysia, after which he moved on to Ericsson where he obtained an invaluable experience in both hardware and software applications of telecommunications equipment in a live environment. After 10 years with Ericsson he moved on to Mobikom Sdn Bhd where he was responsible for the planning, implementing, operating and maintaining of the new RM600million mobile network. After 7 years with Mobikom Zamri moved to TIME dotcom as the Vice President of Network Operations and Maintenance Division whereby he was responsible to ensure that the network availability was near to 100% at all time. The network elements included fibre optic cable system for land and submarine, trunk transmission and customer access electronics. After TIME, he moved on to Asiaspace and Wellcom where he was responsible to design, construct, operate and maintain their networks. Zamri has been in a senior technical management position for over 15 years.
Rohman has over 20 years of experience in the technical field of the telecommunications industry. He has an extensive experience in both land and submarine fibre optic cable system in the aspects of development, operations and maintenance. His experience ranges from the earlier TDM technology to packet-switched technology and to optical transmission technology such as DWDM. His career had been with service operators; Telekom Malaysia and TIME dot com, as well as with equipment suppliers ZTE, system integrator IBIL and responsible for project management with Infomatic Power.
Mahfor has over 30 years of experience in the research and development of customer access devices. He started his career with the Malaysian air force, TUDM. After which he was with Sapura Research Sdn Bhd, prior to joining ALIF R&D Sdn Bhd and was instrumental in designing customized single line phone.
Param has over 28 years of experience in the field of marketing, sales and business development, and project management for industries ranging from plantation to light and heavy equipment in the telecommunications industry.
